How does it shoot? The Italians do a half assed job rifling barrels to the point you have to replace it with a Dan Whitacre barrel. When you shoot a long gun, to need to raise your right elbow to be parallel with the ground. You will get much better contact between the butt and your shoulder.
The Whitney-Kennedy ... made in Hamden, Ct, It was the gun Billy the Kid was holding ib the famous photograph.
No se aprecia completo.. Se ve por partes, 😢
Thank you for putting this video out! I have a Whitney Kennedy I have been looking to disassemble prior to shooting for all obvious reasons, and this might be the first video out there that shows this, so I really appreciate this. Having had some experience at this point, Would it be possible to put out another disassembly video, and maybe zoomed out to see the entire view? Thanks!
I have many my favorite to your family my prayers 🙏 God Bless
Good useful information here.
That gun is at least 140 years old, and was made at the Whitney factory in Hamden, Ct. Interesting topic, well presented.
Hang on a second. The way you said Orange Soda screamed Wisconsin over der. :) Former Illinoisan when it wasn't my choice; Hoosier when I was old enough to move to free America. Great channel.
Faygo: the target of champions
Yes, amen to wood and steel !! 👍 💯
Just lightly sand inside channel.,and apply high grade polyeurethane. Also, you may remove butt pad and do same. That covers most weather proofing. Birchwood-Casey® 'Sheath' on the steel. That's classy....🇺🇸
Inland and Ithaca collaborated to make this. It’s an Ithaca shotgun but inland added the heat shield and bayonet lug.
To those wondering, the gun itself is an actual Ithaca. Inland takes them and adds the heat shield and bayonet lug.
This guy is the most Canadian sounding American
I just purchased an fnx 9 and I love it. I been trying to look for videos online about it but I can’t find any recent reviews lol
Yeah, I did this one several years ago!
@@GunTimez well I’m glad you did! I am looking forward to an updated video! XD
I’m all gun store lending firearms out for review and to help them sell but when I buy a firearm I prefer it not to be fired many times.
2:06 there may not be anyone holding the camera but I still don’t appreciate you pointing a gun at me!! lol jk
Love the Canadian bros! God bless you my man!
I just cant do steel case ammo. It's like last resort zombie stuff. I have some but its in a spam can where it belongs.
Steel don't work on my radical firearms 762 ar
I used an old school cheat method w/my .30-06 Axis II: Put the gun in a rest, shot one hole in my "shoot n see" target, then dialed in my crosshairs to that first shot. Now I'm dead on
I have one brought back from the war also. They were popular w German troops.
It jammed mine once it was hot
How prices have changed, April 2023 I paid $925 and that was a good deal. Current msrp is $1279😮.
The gun holds 7
What ammo will it shoot?
I want that brass..
I realize that many of these revolvers were carried by fighter pilots in both the European and Pacific Theatres, but does anyone know if these were carried very often by U. S. or Commonwealth bomber crews? I realize that most bomber crews carried the 1911 A1, but I am curious if some bomber crewmen were issued the Victory Model revolvers.
This gun keeps popping up for Bud's Gun Shop online. That led me to this video. This seems like the perfect bedside hand cannon. I also have a FN45 Tac that i want to upgrade. Also looking at the FN 10mm. It's between these two. Thanks for the video no matter the age.
CA makes excellent guns
$8 for 40 rounds then. $30 for 40 rounds now 😒
Revolvers firing pistol cartridges began to become popular after WW1 when the USA realised that they needed more M1911 than they had in stock and the factories were already at the top of production they resorted to using revolvers with frames large and robust enough of similar caliber as the Colt New Service 45 and the S & W of the 44 Spl but in order not to complicate the logistics with different types of ammunition adapted them to use the 45 Auto of the M1911, which being a low pressure cartridge made the operation feasible by creating models like the M1917. The only downside is that the 45 Auto had no flange but they devised the “moon Clips” (it comes from that the first ones were half-moon shaped and housed three cartridges, later they made them for six cartridges and by the way they facilitated the recharge being a kind of grandparents of the “speed-loaders”). What did not cease to be a temporary solution to a logistical problem, when these revolvers were sold in the civilian market as military surpluses at affordable prices, began to be known and appreciated. Generally using pistol ammunition on a revolver seems quite exotic and unnecessary but for different reasons it is not so bad. Many people, not especially inclined towards weapons or who have not developed a special ability to quickly and efficiently solve the possible interruptions that can occur with pistol, or who due to illness, previous injuries, age, etc. are not able to hold with the necessary firmness these Officer’s type pistols, have an excellent option in revolvers. There is a ballistic revolver cartridge similar to the 45 Auto which is the 44 Spl, but due to market circumstances it is an ammunition that is not always available everywhere, being of shorter production runs somewhat more expensive than the 45 Auto and does not have the variety of bullets and loads available. This is oriented to a type of customer that is equivalent to the one that would carry a Colt Officer’s, Star PD, Detonics, etc. in 45 that for some reason prefers to opt for a revolver and meets a product like the Charter Arms Pitbull of that calibre using as a base the classic Bulldog model of the 44 Spl whose ammunition is basically available anywhere at more reasonable prices. At least there is a clear reason why it exists. ✨🖖😁✨
My father just gave me the 1894 32 WS produced in New Haven CT in 1902. I am in Canada, ammo are hard to find for this model.
I have one of these chambered for the 45-120, the main problem is the truly awful design of the stock, that terrible crescent buttplate has to be replaced, I restocked mine with a shotgun style and it is no problem, I also had an original in 577 Express, you would notice that when you fired it, but that also had an original shotgun stock fitted. Enjoy! Chris B.
Зрелищное видео!!!
Terrible shot, but nice revolver.
I have one plusa p320, tpsfx, mc9 and a Remington rm380. The Kimber is the best one to shoot at the range. Low recoil and I can unload all 6 in tight group the fastest of all the guns above. I think it's because of the low recoil - I can keep shooting and aiming without having to reset my sight too much. 9mm - any kind I shoot its harder to go back to sight due to recoil. That's just me and I would say I have small sized hands so that's also to consider.
The Hakim is my favorite rifle, bar none. Looks like your trigger return failed. Most likely just some debree or fouling in the trigger assembly or else the trigger spring failed. Trigger must travel full forward to engage the sear. Should have pushed the trigger forward to see if it cleared. Note that a hang fire can take up to 30 seconds ignite. The cartridge becomes a grenade if ejected too early.
You were turning it the wrong way. To move the shot to the left you have to screw the knob in. To move to right you screw the knob out. Plus a 1/4 moa scope is four clicks @100 yards, so @ 25 yards you would need to turn 16 clicks per inch of movement.
I just bought this revolver a couple of weeks ago. I've put about 200 rounds through it and my only real complaint was that the "low profile" grips threw off my aim (too much finger on the trigger). Even with that I had reasonably small groups (3 to 4 inches) at 20ft once I compensated ... it's a snubby after all. I replaced them with the Pachmayr Charter Arms grips and it feels much more natural. Tomorrow's range day so fingers crossed. . Oh yeah, whenever I eject the rounds, I always point the barrel straight up. The little spring detents holding the base of the cartridge don't like horizontal.
A beautiful rifle. I find it sad that a good refinish devalues a piece such as this. I don’t mean cold blueing and such but an honest to God restoring
Test starts at 5:40

The gun shop I go to had a used one of these for sale and tough decision as they also had a used bersa cc .380 and already having another bersa wanted the concealed carry one but if I should see one of these again it will be mine as a lot of videos are positive on these for what u pay. Thanx and take it easy.
Just curious but if a stock was just finished with oil and you are using mineral spirits to remove it before your re-apply oil isn't that technically "refinishing" just to original specifications?
I agree; not used for Buffalo. In 1854 there were millions of buffalo and the few army posts out west were like an oasis in a sea of buffalo. 23 years later in 1877 they were just about gone along with the Indians. Browning was our greatest gun designer but Harry Pope was our greatest barrel maker for the really fine shooting needed in competition. His action of choice the 1885 High Wall and sometimes the Stevens.
Did it come with the hammer like that , i thought they were all Da Sa
Fun and excellent review. On two excellent revolvers. Looking forward to the ordering a Cimarron El Malo in .357. Peace
Ofta namen is definitely a northern thing to say 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow, standing in front of the firing line while he’s shooting
